THOMAS D. MADIGAN, 79 of Corning, NY RD died June 25, 1989. Mr. Madigan retired from Bendix Corp. in 1950 as a maintenance foreman. He was a member of the Canton Moose Guild #429. He is survived by his married woman, Clara Ballard Madigan; two children, Michael Madigan, Corning and Mary Ellen Gledlin, Virginia Beach, VA; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, William and Robert of Canton; sisters, Josephine Meredith, Towanda, Catherine Watson, County and Cornelia Phinney, Danville. A memorial service was held at St. Patrick's Church in Elmira. Funeral arrangements were nether the direction of the Ballard and Lindgren Funeral Home. SIDNEY A. MAPES, 81, 1803 Lycoming Creek Rd., Williamsport, died at Williamsport Infirmary died Sat afternoon (1976). He was born in Burgnot, Elk Canton, March 20, 1895 the son of Erastus and Matilda Gustafson Mapes. He was a retired post function employee, a veteran of Earth War I, a fellow member of the Williamsport VFW, a fellow member of the Veterans of World War I. He and his wife Zada Allen Mapes celebrated their 54th hymeneals ceremony in February. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Sidney Mapes of Williamsport and Otis A. Mapes of S. Williamsport; three daughters, Mrs. Paul Hiller of Trucksville, Mrs. Dale Fisher of Alexandria, La. And Mrs. Kenneth Ludwig of Williamsport; brother, Claude Mapes of Nesbit, Pa.; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Porter of Williamsport, Mrs. Mildred Boich of Nesbit and Mrs. Lillian Dunfee of Warren. Eighteen grandchildren and sixteen not bad-grandchildren also survive. He had a number of relatives and friends in Bradford County. The funeral will be held today at 10 a.thousand. at the Knight Funeral home, 1914 Memorial St., Williamsport, Rev. Gerald G. Heilman, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, officiating. RANDY O. McADOO, 38 of 32 Watts St., Towanda, Pa., died Sunday, Nov. thirteen, 2005. Born April 20, in 1967, in Bowling Greenish, Ky., he was the son of Robert McAdoo and Brenda Basham McAdoo. Randy was a graduate of Warren Center High School in Bowling Green. Post-obit graduation from high school, Randy worked in construction in Kentucky and later served in the U.South. Army. Randy was employed by E.I. DuPont in Towanda. He was a member of Towanda American Legion Postal service No. 42 and the Veterans of Strange Wars Post in Bowling Light-green. Randy enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, woodworking, small-engine mechanics and riding his motorcycle. Surviving are his wife, Tammy Coveney McAdoo; two daughters, Ashley Ann and Jennifer Alishia McAdoo, all at dwelling house; his parents, Robert and Brenda McAdoo, his brothers, Robert, Dale, Robin and Brian, and his sisters, Theresa and Andrea, all of Bowling Light-green; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.chiliad. Wednesday November. xvi, at the S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Tertiary St., Towanda. GAYLORD L. McCARTY, 86 of Bloomsburg RR 5 died Midweek, Oct. six, 1993 at 2:30 p.m. at his home following an illness of 2 years. Born March 22, 1907 in Elkland Township, Sullivan County, he was a son of the late Clinton and Rachel (Collins) McCarty. He resided in N Centre Township, Columbia County for the past five years and formerly lived in Forksville. He spent winters in Tavares, Fla. He was a graduate of Estella High Schoolhouse class of 1924. He was valedictorian of his class. Mr. McCarty was a sawyer by trade and was employed at Baumunk'due south Lumber in Forksville for 30 years retiring in 1969. He was a member of the Forksville United Methodist Church and had attended the Lime Ridge United Methodist Church near Bloomsburg. His get-go wife, the former Rhea Shadduck died Jan 6, 1987. Surviving are his wife, Ginor (Hughes) Hess. They celebrated their fifth anniversary on Apr 10, 1993. Also surviving are a son, R. LaVerne McCarty of Forksville, RR ane; a girl, Carol Thou. Pepperman of Mount Dora, Fla.; a son, Bryce W. McCarty of Indiana, Pa.; two step-sons, LaRue Thou. Hess of Mechanicsburg, Pa. and Gary 50. Hess of Benton RR three; a step-girl, Mrs. Ray 50. Alice J. Age 80, [SRGP 11029] of Lindley, NY, died Tuesday, February twenty, 2007, surrounded by her loving family at her home. Alice was born November 27, 1926 in Mainsburg, PA, girl of George and Inez Hulslander Monro. She had been a faithful employee of the Horseheads Woolworth Dept. Store for 32 years. She was the proud, caring female parent of xiii children, working very hard to go along the family together. In her spare time, Alice enjoyed caring for her birds and cats, along with keeping up with NASCAR and her soaps. Surviving Alice are her children, Carolyn Dougherty, Arthur Sawyer Jr., Robert Sawyer, Rose Farnsworth, Helen Davis, Thelma Sawyer, Ivan Sawyer, Sylvia Hitchcock; a brother, Thomas Monro; a sister, Blanch O'Carey; grandchildren, Michael Sawyer, Chase Sawyer, and xix others; and several peachy and not bad-great-grandchildren. Alice was predeceased past her parents; hubby, Arthur Yard. Sawyer Sr. on September 12, 1973; children, Raymond, Patti, George, Duane, Thomas, and Ronnie Sawyer who passed August xiv, 2005. LESLIE Fifty. MORGAN, 77, of Gillett (Southward Creek Township) died peacefully Mon morning time, March 17, 1997 at habitation while surrounded by his family. Born Baronial 31, 1919 in Shunk, PA. He was ane of seven children of the late Daniel and Bertha Vargason Morgan. In earlier years, Leslie drove produce and livestock to New York City for the former Kennedy & Hoagland Trucking Outfit located in Canton. He after was employed for over xx years as a carpenter past the former Gribbon Roofing & Siding in Elmira, NY until his retirement in the late 1970's. On January eleven, 1940 Leslie marred the one-time Mildred Brown in Shunk. Together Mr. and Mrs. Morgan have shared 57 years of loving marriage. Leslie was an gorging outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and picking huckleberries. He also was a talented woodworker. Surviving are his married woman, Mildred at home; a son and daughter in law, Bruce and Linda Morgan of Windsor, NY; four daughters and sons in law, Nola and Delos Perry of Centerville, PA, Shirley and Gerald Oldroyd of Gillett, PA, bertha and Richard Oppenheimer of Elmira, NY, Linda and Robert Bump of Gillett, PA; 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Vernon Morgan of Elmira, NY, Duane Morgan of Erin, NY; three sisters, Agnes Brown of Canton, Vivian Kieffer of Elmira, NY, Arlene Buchle of Williamsport, PA; several nieces, nephews and cousins. IRVIN C. MOYER, 74 of 931 South. Primary St., Towanda died Monday afternoon, Apr x, 1989 at Memorial Hospital, Towanda. Born Aug. 23, 1914 in Pennsdale, Pa. he was a son of the late Chester and Margaret Jackson Moyer. Irvin was a graduate of Towanda High School class of 1932 and in earlier years was employed by the Montgomery Baking Co. in Towanda. He was a self-employed electrician in the surface area for many years until declining wellness no longer permitted information technology. Mr. Moyer was a deacon emeritus of the Contained Baptist Church in Towanda and also taught Sunday school at that place for many years. Surviving are a sister and blood brother-in-law, Phyllis and James Collins of Towanda-Monroeton Road; a sis-in-constabulary, Mrs. Arlene Moyer of Hornbrook; nephews; Tom Moyer of Bolder, Colo. and James F. PASTUSIC –TONI M. PASTUSIC COBB, age 52 of Mildred died on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003 at the Memorial Hospital, Towanda after a long battle with kidney illness. Toni was built-in October. 25, 1952 in Towanda a daughter of Paul and Emma Morris Pastusic. She graduated from Turnpike High School a member of the class of 1971. Toni was a very active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Mildred and a fellow member of the Catholic Women's Guild. She helped run the church bingo for many years and also with the annual church bazaar. Surviving in addition to her parents are a sister and blood brother-in-law, Kathy and Bradley Allen of Canton; an uncle and several aunts, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Peter P. (Corkey) Pastusic on November. 9, 1999 and a nephew Paul Joseph Pastusic on April 29, 1989. A Mass of Christian Burial will be historic on Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mildred with the Rev. David R. Betts, her pastor presiding. POTTER –MRS. GLADYS I. VOGEL historic period 84 former Ruby Township resident died on Sabbatum May 25, 2002 at the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Memorial Infirmary, Towanda. Gladys was born June 12, 1917 in Fallentimber, Cambria County, Pa. a daughter of the belatedly Charles and Elizabeth Noel Potter. She moved to Dushore and married John D. Vogel of Dushore, Pa. on Sept. 14, 1934. John predeceased her on Oct. 5, 1960. Gladys worked at the quondam Weldon Manufacturing Co. of Lopez for several years and after for GTE Sylvania in Towanda from which she retired in 1982 after more 20 years of service. She was a fellow member of St. Basil'south Roman Catholic Church, Dushore. Surviving are; ii sons and daughter-in-law; Richard Vogel of Towanda and Thomas and Marie Vogel of Monroeton; iii daughters and sons-in-law; Mary Alice and Floyd Miller of Monroeton, Joan and Robert Exley of Mildred and Thelma and Ronald Allis of Ulster; stepchildren; Rudolph D. and Joan Vogel of Rochester, Northward.Y., and Doris Stratton of Rochester, N.Y.; x grandchildren 15 nifty-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. ROBERT Westward. ROAN JR., 66, Ralston, PA died, November. two, 1995 at his home. Built-in August 23, 1929 in Williamsport, he was a son of Sylvia Chick Roan and the late Robert W. Roan Sr. He was an antique dealer in Ralston for many years. On January 25, 1974, he married the old Lillian M. Anderson in Trout Run. Mr. Roan enjoyed hunting and was an avid outdoorsman, and was a life member of the Cerise Run Rod and Gun Club, Ralston. He is survived by his wife, Lillian; two daughters, Shirley Roan and Debbie Roan at home; three sons, Chucky Roan, Robbie Roan, Robert Roan, Four of Nauvoo, PA; a granddaughter; his mother, a resident of Valley View Nursing Home, Montoursville; a sis, Helen Roan, Lewisburg; 4 brothers, Charles and Richard Roan, both of Williamsport, Carl and Donald Roan, both of Roaring Co-operative; several nieces, nephews and cousins. CHARLES A. Brutal, fourscore East Smithfield died peacefully March 6, 2005 at his home. Born March 19, 1924 in Bloomsburg, PA he was the son of Albert and Catherine Larish Savage. He was a graduate of Bloomsburg High School in 1942 and went on to earn a B.South. degree at Bloomsburg State Teachers College in 1949 then a M.S. degree at Bucknell Academy, Lewisburg, PA in 1954. He also attended Southwest Missouri State Teachers College, Springfield, MO, Penn State University and Mansfield State Higher. Mr. Brutal taught business concern education at Milton High School from 1950 to 1952, Honesdale High Schoolhouse from 1952 to 1953 and Canton High School from 1953 to 1960. He served equally a high school principal at SRU Loftier Schoolhouse, East Smithfield from 1960 to 1975 and was administrative assistant to the superintendent at Athens Area School District from 1975 to 1980. He was an avid outdoorsman and was planning to attend his lxthursday anniversary of D-Solar day in Czechoslovakia. Mr. Savage was a fellow member of the East Smithfield Methodist Church, a life member of the F&AM Washington Lodge No. 265, Bloomsburg, a life member of the Caldwell Consistory 32nd Degree Scottish Rite, Bloomsburg, PA, a member of the Amity Purple Arch Chapter No. 293, Athens, a fellow member of American Legion Mail service No. 273, Bloomsburg for 26 years, a life member of the VFW Post No. 1536, Sayre and the sixteenth Armored Division Association, a member of the National Hawkeye Scout Association, a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Secondary Principals, a fellow member of the National Association of Principals for 25 years, and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and Phi Delta Kappa. |
SCHAEFFER –FERNE A. KRAUSE – On the afternoon of Th, July fourth, 2002 former Canton resident Ferne Ada (Schaeffer) Krause, ninety died quietly at Wide Acres Nursing abode in Wellsboro. Born August ixthursday, 1911 in Mahoning Valley, PA she was the girl of William and Clara (Behler) Schaeffer. She attended the one room school in Mahoning Valley. Scholastically bright and eager to acquire she avant-garde rapidly through the school'south 8 grades. It was decided that her higher educational needs would exist improve fulfilled elsewhere, so she was sent to live with her older half-sister and was then eligible to nourish Northampton High Schoolhouse, graduating with the class of 1928 while she was yet 16. She went on to Kutztown Normal Scholl (at present Kutztown University) where, in improver to her bookish studies she excelled at basketball. She graduated Kutztown with the class of 1930 so pursued a career as a teacher, serving from 1930 to 1936 at the Launder Creek i-room school. A railroad man from the coal regions of Tamaqua, named Carl Krause courted her and on June 21, 1936 they were united in marriage at the Zion Lutheran Church in West Penn Township. Together they raised one son. Mrs. Krause put her teaching career on hold equally she settled in to existence a homemaker and mother. Earlier long Mrs. Krause became a proprietor of a "Mom and Popular" grocery store in Tamaqua. During World War Two she did her part for the war effort by working on the associates line at the Atlas Pulverization Co. where she primed bombs headed for the Centrality. Subsequently she worked as a clerk at various stationery stores, the last 1 being Meredith's in Tamaqua. While working at that place in 1965 she returned to pedagogy the fifth grade at the Pine Street Simple School where she remained until her retirement in 1972. She was an agile member of St. John'south Evangelical Church, was also a fellow member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was by Worthy Matron of her local chapter. In the early 1980s Ferne and Carl moved to Canton to be closer to their family unit. Hither she became active in the Canton Ecumenical Parish and participated in the United Methodist Women and other church related groups, was as well a member of the Bicycle Inn, Roaring Branch. Mrs. Krause was an outgoing, social person and in no time she found herself surrounded by a host of new friends in Canton, all of whom became very dear to her. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting, turning out beautiful hand-made gifts for her family. She was deeply devoted to her son and two granddaughters and took bang-up pride in their achievements. Her beloved Carl died in October of 1989 later sharing 53 years together. Surviving are her son, William (Marsha) Krause, Canton; granddaughters, Danielle and Trisha Krause, both of Boston, nieces, Gloria Miller and Betty (Krause) Zimbardo. In add-on to her husband, she was preceded in decease by her half-sisters, Mary (Kistler) Kershner and Alice (Kistler) Miller and nephew, Donald Kershner. Funeral services were held July viii from the Morse and Kleese Funeral Home with Pastor Dean Walrath of the County Ecumenical Parish officiating. RANDY R. SCRAFFORD, Jr. 23 Parkesburg, PA died Jan 30, 2005 at the Brandywine Hospital. Built-in in West Chester he was the son of Randy R. and Norma Jean Whiteside Scrafford, Parkesburg. An surface area resident all his life, he was employed by Bill's Lawn Service of Christiana, PA. He was a member of the Gateway Grace Customs Church in Coatesville. SHADDUCK –DORIS ALEATHA SHAFFER a resident of Country Acres Personal Intendance Home, Titusville died there September 24, 2004. Born September xiii, 1917 in Shunk she was a daughter of the tardily Raymond and Emily Porter Shadduck. She was married to Clarence F. Shaffer on March 23, 1935 in Forksville. Mrs. Shaffer had been employed as a domestic worker for individual families in the Sullivan County areas. She was a member of the Forksville United Methodist Church building. She helped organize dinners at the church for many years to benefit the church building building fund afterward the church had burned. She likewise taught the church kindergarten form for many years. She had attended the Titusville First Baptist Church building after moving to Titusville. 1 of her biggest joys in life was being with and doing for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved making goodies and baking cookies for them. Surviving are daughters, Patricia A. McCarty, Northward Pole, AL and Beverly Chiliad. Hasbrouck and hubby, Bruce of Titusville; four grandchildren, Michelle McCarty, Frey, Craig McCarty, Wendy Hasbrouck Tritt and Bret Hasbrouck; viii great-grandchildren; and sisters, Marcella (Fred) Coon, Leesburg, FL and Joyce (Gerald) Saunders, County. RALPH E. (POUD) SHADDUCK age 61 of Shunk died Friday evening, June 26, 1981 at the Dar-Fashion Nursing Dwelling house in Estella after a lingering disease. Mr. Shadduck was born in Shunk on January 4, 1920 a son of Charles 5. and the late Fannie A. Dark-brown Shadduck. For xx years he had the propane gas dealership in the Shunk area. He was a veteran of World War II and was a fellow member of the Mildred American Legion and served every bit a lawman in Pull a fast one on Township for half-dozen years. He was a member of the Williamsport Moose Lodge and a charter member of the Endless Winds Volunteer Fire Company in Shunk. SHADDUCK –RHEA MCCARTY of Tavares, FL formerly of Forksville died Jan. 6, 1987 at the Lake Customs Infirmary in Leesburg, FL following a short disease. Born Aug. 17, 1913 in Sullivan County she was the daughter of the tardily Ray and Emily Porter Shadduck. She had been a resident of Sullivan County near of her lifetime and lived in Florida for the past 15 years. She is a fellow member of the Forksville United Methodist Church building. Surviving are her hubby, Gaylord McCarty at dwelling; two sons, R. LaVerne of Forksville and Bryce of Indiana, PA; daughter, Carol Pepperman, Mt. Dora, FL; four sisters, Irma Bedford, Canton, Doris Shaffer, Titusville, Marcella Coon, Taveres, FL and Joyce Saunders, Canton; eight grandchildren and one corking-grandson. She and her husband, Stanley Melt observed their 30th wedding ceremony anniversary Nov. 13. She had been employed past Weldon's Manufacturing and the sometime Ray-O-Vac Corp., Southward Williamsport. SHARROW –MRS. ALICE M. BOWER, 81 of Montgomery, PA died May 13, 1987 at the Leader Nursing Center in Williamsport. She was built-in in Nordmont, March 7, 1906 a girl of Edward and Ella Hess Sharrow. Mrs. Bower had been a fellow member of St. John's Lutheran (Brick) Burch, in Montgomery, a member of Eagle Grange No. 1, Montgomery and the Montgomery Senior Citizens. Surviving are her husband, Otto W. Bower, whom she married 61 years ago, a resident of Leader Nursing Home; two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Bartlett and Mrs. Phyllis J. Mark O. SHAYLOR, 57, well-known area surveyor and resident of Liberty Corners, Towanda RR four, died Monday evening April 7, 2003 as the event of a motor-vehicle accident in Rummerfield, Standing Rock Township. Born November. 23, 1945 in Anchorage, Alaska, he was a son of the late LeRoy "Shep" Shaylor and Kathryn Ogden Shaylor. Mark was a graduate of Towanda High School class of 1963. While in high school, Marker excelled in sports, peculiarly in wrestling, as he wrestled for Towanda undefeated during the regular season. He continued his pedagogy at Mansfield University, graduating in 1967 and receiving his Available of Science caste in geography. Marker became associated with his male parent, "Shep" Shaylor in his surveying business, known as Shaylor Associates and later took over functioning of the business in 1980. Mark was a fellow member of the Towanda Gun Club. Marking loved the outdoors, sports, angling, softball, baseball, cooking and woodworking. Mark possessed many friends throughout the expanse and will be fondly remembered by many for his congenial personality, keen wit, sense of humor and love of spending time with family and friends. Surviving are: his married woman, Tracy A. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the County Ecumenical Church, having been a member and treasurer of the former Showtime Presbyterian Church of County and was a fellow member of the O.Due east.S., Canton Chapter No. 71. She was well-known in the area equally the owner of the Rialto Theater in County from 1930 to 1972. This theater is presently being restored. She was a member of the Ladies Aid Guild for 45 years and was a by president. She was as well a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 601, Sonestown for 40 years. Harriet was the caretaker and melt for the Nordmont Recreation Lodge for over 35 years and also served on the LaPorte Township Election Board for several years and was formerly a member of the Sullivan County School Board. She was also a member of the Republican Women's Organization. Surviving are three sons: Wayne L. of Rochester, N.Y., Dale (Pee Wee) of Muncy and Lee R. of Mildred; one girl, Mrs. Lois A. Booth of Nordmont; nine grandchildren; half-dozen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Shirley Louise in 1933 and past v sisters and five brothers. CLARENCE H. 'SHIEK' SPAULDING age 89 of Hector, NY died Midweek 20, 2002. Shiek was born August 31, 1913 in Athens, PA. He served in the U.S. Ground forces during WWII and received the Purple Center. He was a member of the DAV, Myrtle Jefferson Masonic Guild, B.P.O.E. #1546 of Watkins Glen, the Moose Social club and a life member of the Mechanic Club. He was proprietor of Shiek'south Oasis in Valois for over 20 years and agile with the NYS Restaurant and Liquor Dealers. He coached lilliputian league baseball for 20 years and was founder of the Schuyler Co. Babe Ruth Team. During the 1960'due south Shiek scouted high school and college baseball game for the Baltimore Orioles. He was a member of the Elmira Basketball game Hall and served on the committee to form the Finger Lakes Jazz Festival. He is survived by his wife, Maxine; daughters, Linda Fazzary of Watkins Glen, Sharon Maximiek of Elmira Heights, NY and son, Richard (Lydia Wickham) Evans of Watkins Glen; 10 grandchildren and 2 peachy-grandchildren. SIDNEY L. STONE, age 57, of 304 Cole Circle Dr., Newfield (formerly of Greene) died on Fri, February 1, 2002. He was surrounded past the love of family members in the warmth and peace of his habitation. Born on August 26, 1944 in Greene, New York, Sid was the son of Raymond and Loretta Hoag Rock. For 33 years he drove a truck for various companies. When not on the route, Sid enjoyed dancing (particularly the polka), listening to country music, camping and fishing. He was a devoted father and grandfather who was happiest when he was sharing time with family members. Family and friends will long think Sid for his ability to live life to the fullest and his unique way of filling a room with love and laughter. Sid was proud to have served his country in the US Army for ii years, receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1964. WALBURN –PAULINE SHARROW. On Tuesday, July 8, 1997 the Lord called home Pauline Erma (Walburn) Sharrow, Beech Flats while she was at Troy Community Hospital bravely battling a severe illness. She was 69 years of age. Born in Milton, PA Baronial two, 1927 to Tom and Nettie (Jackson) Walburn, Pauline was raised by Byron and Dorothy Williams afterward the untimely passing of her natural mother. She lived in the Canton area and was a graduate of County Loftier School. As a young woman, she met a gentleman named Harley Sharrow and in November of 1949 they were united in holy union. Ever the hard worker, Pauline managed her part as a mother, homemaker and factory laborer. She was employed for many years at Canford Manufacturing Co. in Canton retiring in 1988. Pauline enjoyed bird watching, fishing and caring for her cat, Buddy and her dog, Daisy, but her favorite past time by far was foursquare dancing and she took every opportunity to exercise and so until her wellness no longer permitted it. Throughout her life she was all-time known by her childhood nickname, "Puggy." Pauline is survived by her loving husband, Harley George Sharrow at home; son and daughter-in-police force, Terry and Annette Sharrow, Beech Flats; daughter, Gail Smith, Troy; brother, Arthur (Tom) Walburn; sisters, Evelyn Shedden, Florence Murray and Mary Brundage and grandsons, Joseph and Justin Sharrow. DAVID W. WHITE, 45 Orlando, FL formerly of Canton died Apr 11, 1999 in Florida. Born in Elmira, NY May 28, 1953 he was the son of Robert D. and Lucile (Rockwell) White. He was a 1971 graduate of Canton High School. Mr. White was a traffic coordinator for the Orange County Convention Center, was a fellow member of the NRA, Florida Sport Shooting Association, Florida Rifle and Pistol Club and Swamp Lizards. Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Kathy; his mother, Lucile White, County; brother, Richard White, Canton; sister, Wendy Lepper, Canton; several nieces and nephews. Services were held at Dove Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Conway Chapel, Orlando. Memorials may be directed to the National Audubon Society. –County Independent Sentinel
LAUREN WILCOX, 66, Apt. #25, 5120 SW twoscoreth Ave., Fort Lauderdale, Fla. formerly of Towanda died May sixteen, 1991 after an extended illness. He was built-in Feb. 8, 1925 the son of Claude Due east. and Myrtle Hazel Wilcox. His survivors include his wife, the onetime Betty Wilmot; and a daughter, Ann. WILMOT –BETTY J. WILCOX, 66 of 5120 SW xlthursday Ave., Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., died at 4:26 p.m. on Aug. 23, 1995 at the Hollywood Medical Center, Hollywood, Fla. where she had been a patient. She had been in failing health for several years. She was built-in in Towanda the daughter of Rachel (Northrop) Chapin, a invitee at the Bonham Nursing Center, RR 1, Stillwater, Pa. and the tardily LeRoy Wilmot. She had resided in Florida since 1959 and previously lived in Towanda. She was a graduate of Towanda High School in 1948. Mrs. Wilcox was preceded in death by her husband, Lauren A. Wilcox on May xvi, 1991. Surviving in improver to her female parent are a girl, Ann Wilcox, Stillwater RR one and a brother, Russell 50. Wilmot, RR 5, VanBuren, Ark. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 1995 at eleven:30 a.m. in New Columbus Cemetery, RR 1, Yet water with the Rev. James A. Dile, pastor of Town Loma United Methodist Church and the Rev. William L. Price, retired United Methodist pastor officiating. There volition be no viewing. The family will provide flowers. WRIGHT –MRS. ANITA E. MCKAY, 99 a erstwhile resident of Canton area died on Thursday, April 17, 1958 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. O. M. Allen, Vienna, Va. post-obit a long illness. Built-in February. 2, 1859 in East Canton. Mrs. McKay was the daughter of Warren Due west. and Lucinda Shadduck Wright and was a descendant of Capt. Seth Wright and Dr. John Wilcox, who served in the American Colonial Revolution. She was the widow of Thomas G. McKay. Her early married life was spent in Sullivan County but later she lived in Washington, D.C. and was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Washington. For the by twoscore years she had made her home with her daughters. Surviving are four other daughters, Mrs. Edward West. Kaseman of Williamsport, Mrs. Ernest Chiliad. Smith of Mansfield, Mrs. Blanche Keeler of Washington, D.C. and Mrs. J. V. Dusing of Norwalk, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Sheive of Millerton and Mrs. Leon Campbell of Baltimore, Md.; xiv grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and iii bang-up-great-grandchildren. The trunk was at the Kleese Funeral Habitation, Canton where funeral services were held Sun at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Wellner of Christ Episcopal Church, Towanda officiating. Burial was in West Hill Cemetery, Shunk. Pallbearers were: Paul Kaseman, Edward Kaseman, Lawrence Sheive, Harold Sheive, Charles Burdette and Wendell Smith. –Canton Independent Sentinel
CARL O. Immature, 72 of Micaville, NC and a sometime resident of Spring Hill, FL died March five, 1989 at his abode after a long illness. A native of Pennsylvania, he was a son of Gertrude G. Young of Troy, PA and the late Otto D. Young. He was a graduate of Mansfield College and attended Penn Land Academy. Surviving in addition to his mother, are his wife, Doriscey Immature; sons, Lynn Immature of Ashville, NY, Curtis Young of Riverside, CA and Chris Young of Andover, MD; daughters, Celia Young of Dallas, TX and Jocleen of Tottowa, NJ; brothers, Larry Young of Troy, PA and Ted Immature of Waverly, PA; four grandchildren. Memorial services were held March 9 in the Start Methodist Church in Spring Hill, FL under the direction of the Wellwood Funeral Domicile.
R. BROOKS Immature DIED November 23, 1988 in St. Francis Infirmary, Olean, N.Y. after a cursory illness. Born Oct. 4, 1898 in Troy, Pa. he was a son of Douglas and Caroline Brooks Immature. On June 11, 1919 he married the sometime Marion Brink in Elmira. She survives him. Mr. Young had been a self-employed fruit and dairy farmer nigh of his life. Surviving in addition to his wife, are three sons: Daniel Young of Bliss, Douglas Young of Fillmore and Edward Young of Tampa, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. J. Edward (Annamae) Keib of Wellsville, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren; 19 not bad-grandchildren; a peachy-great-grandchild; a sister, Ruth Hawthorne of Vacation, Fla.; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Harry Immature, Roy Immature and Elisha J. Young and a sister, Dorothy Gaylord. ZELLERS –PATRICIA J. ZELLERS FAULKNER, sixty of 208 Ridgeview Route, New Cumberland, Pa. died Tuesday October. 3, 1995 in Holy Spirit Hospital, East Pennsboro Township. She was born in Canton, Pa. on June 24, 1935 the daughter of the late Walter F. and Cecil M. Myers Zellers. She was a retired secretarial assistant for Lower Allen Township Building and Zoning Section, a life fellow member of VFW Post 7415 Ladies Auxiliary New Cumberland and a member of Women of the Moose Order No. 382, Steelton and Riverview Golf Society, DDRE, New Cumberland. She is survived by her hubby, John W. Faulkner; a daughter, Julie K. Allen of Duncannon; two sons, Christopher M. Faulkner of Bryan, Texas and John D. Faulkner of Seattle, Wash. and six grandchildren. The funeral service volition be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Parthemore Funeral Home, 1303 Span St., New Cumberland, Pa. Burial volition be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Hanover Township.
